In Between Borders - "Every day we see things.  That we pay no attention to.   A curtain.  A wall.  A vase.  They pass through our acknowledging eyes to our subconscious and are recorded as uneventful, and our attention moves on.  But if you stop your eyes for a moment, adjust your focus, you may see the color, the light, the symmetry that makes the everyday beautiful."

The Exhibition Lab is a study of photography outside of a traditional academic setting. The initiative was co-founded by Michael Foley in 2010 as a study center for fine art photography dedicated to learning by critique. Students of the ExLab meet over the course of five months, holding critique sessions with one another and one-on-one sessions with Michael Foley.

26 Hours on a Train

This is going to be a photography blog, during our mammoth 26 hour train journey I tried to take a photograph every hour, except obviously for when I was sleeping but I have posted 26 photographs from the journey, its an interesting experiment to see what is produced when you are confined in a 10ft by 10ft cabin with 3 other people for 26hours……

Cheap A$$ Photo's

We have all been there, done that and got the t-shirt and paid for the photo to prove it! Now as a photographer I like to think I can adapt to most environments and take a camera with us on any adventure we do, but sometimes there are places that don’t allow camera’s or photography and then hit you at the end for a $25 photograph that looks crap but it’s the only photo you will have of the experience!

A New Gallery - A New Day, A New Photograph

So I have decided to create a gallery that has on display one photograph from each day of our travels together on this amazing journey. This gives me a project to work on and also keeps me quiet for a hour or so ;0)

The photographs vary in style, but they aim to show a fresh look at the world and the places we visit and the people we meet along the way.

I will not be uploading each day so don't get your hopes up too much, but more likely you will see batches uploaded as we travel! It is harder than you think to photograph everyday, but after 3 weeks on the road here is the first batch

I hope you enjoy them!
