Two new books have been published featuring photographs from Francis Minien.

Photographer’s Forums’ Best of Photography 2010 features a photograph selected as a finalist in their 30th Annual Photography Contest and soon to be published Best Of Worldwide Photography Artists Volume I featuring a two page spread on Francis Miniens photographs themed on Street Photography.

As its coming to the end of the year there is the last opportunity to check out and vote for Francis Minien’s work in two new open calls from 3rd Ward and Focus Project.....

On Monday, April 19th 2010, K5NOLA successfully kicked off their New Orleans and Haiti relief efforts. Susan Sarandon lent her support to the cause by giving the Pre-NFL Draft Spin Charity Event home at her club, SPiN New York.

Francis Minien Photography with the help of Taso Hountas was there to help capture the event!

After a year of post production work Francis Minien’s first self published book is released through Blurb. Festival: A View from the Crowd is an exploration of the Festival life and experience documented by Francis Minien over the past two decades since his first Festival experience in 1993.

A group Exhibition at New York’s Baboo Gallery, the galleries seasonal invitational of large format works. The photographs on exhibition explore a still life approach to beautiful Viewpoint’s of the world, from the vantage point of the tourist telecsope.

Rogue Space Chelsea hosts the first in a series of discipline-specific International Juried Exhibitions starting with Photography. Francis Minien has been selected as a a winner in the International Juried Exhibition.

I am excited to announce that the Spring 2010 ‘Communication’ issue of the magazine for London Independent Photography arrives on the shelves this week, Featuring some of my work.

As of April 12th $3500 has been raised through this program, not all the Artwork has sold so the program is going to be extended, watch this space for more information soon……

Haiti Art Fund has been set up by Monkdogz Urban Art Inc. a New York art dealership, for the sole purpose of raising funds for Haiti following the earthquake that occurred on the evening of January 12th 2010.
