I spent months preparing, creating, discussing, marketing and producing my Solo show at Brooklyn Art Cluster this spring - as with all of us life changed overnight and the exhibition has been locked up gathering dust and not the audiences eyes for nearly 2 months now!

The art world thrives on its audience and to be able to present itself up front and personal to the public is one of the pleasures I truly enjoy as part of my practice.

However in these times of isolation and stay at home orders, we have to adapt and although the physical Fair was cancelled the folks at The Other Art Fair worked hard to bring its concept to you as the Brooklyn Open Studios Online.

Head On/Line 2020

The Head On Festival recognized the extraordinary effort photographers had put into delivering Award entries and preparing exhibitions over recent months and honour and celebrate this by creating an online Head On Photo Festival and Awards.

This online version of the event is being held from 1-17 May and will be accompanied by an exciting program of online seminars and events throughout the Festival period.

At this time when many people will be in isolation, this digital platform will provides our audiences around the world with a variety of exciting artworks, images and activities to engage and interact with.

Minien with Treat Gallery @ PULSE Art Fair in Miami Beach

treat gallery New York is excited to announce Francis Minien’s participation in their exhibition at the PULSE Art Fair in Miami Beach during Art Basel week. The #1 goal of treat gallery is to help others, and our exhibitions raise funds for charities and nonprofit organizations.

Two photographs by Francis Minien will be part of the exhibition and concept installation.

The content of these images was entirely open; applicants were only given two parameters: work had to be predominantly one color, and a square. 1/3 of sales during satellite art show in New York City will benefit the New York division of the Human Rights Campaign.
